Volkswagen’s 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive System And Your Business

Volkswagen’s 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive System And Your Business

Whether you’re travelling great distances or navigating local roads, we always want you to stay ahead of the competition. That includes ensuring your safety and the top performance of your Volkswagen during the winter months.

What is Volkswagen’s 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive System?

4MOTION® technology uses sensors to continuously monitor and analyze driving conditions and automatically respond when your driving conditions change. When 4MOTION® detects your Volkswagen slipping, more torque is directed to the wheels with the best traction for improved handling and control, helping you feel confident in the driver’s seat.

How can 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive help me?

  1. Problem: When towing, the added weight to the back bumper raises the front wheels of your Volkswagen.

Solution: Power is sent to the rear wheels to stabilize when towing.

  1. Problem: When driving on icy or damp winter roads, control can be lost on sharp or slippery corners.

Solution: Power to accelerate out of turns is distributed to all four wheels while the brakes are applied to the inner wheel for additional control.

  1. Problem: The front wheels of your Volkswagen lose traction on a slippery incline.

Solution: Power shifts to all wheels to help maximize traction.

  1. Problem: Snowy and icy roads cause your Volkswagen wheels to lose grip.

Solution: Power is intelligently distributed to wheels with the best traction.
